February Blooms: Exciting Exhibition Updates (New Tour Sat 4pm) + See My Free Speech Film + Culture List for This Month
Breakfast at Tiffany’s Newsletter—Published for 30 Years
There are so many things happening in the country that deeply trouble my soul, yet the packed gatherings for Ancient Wisdom for a Future Ecology: Trees, Time & Technology underscore my belief in the infinite power that comes from coming together around art.
I felt compelled to rerelease the 2-min film I made for my alma mater UC Berkeley for the 50th anniversary of the Free Speech Movement back in 2014. It is so relevant to the chilling events happening with ICE as well as Black History Month. Watch here.
We have added another artist tour this Saturday Feb 7, 4-5:15pm starting at MSP’s art-filled First Saturday events in their main gallery space where Ken’s and my Tree of Knowledge sculpture is installed in the atrium entrance. From there, we’ll head one block away through the newly-created gorgeous “mini-High Line” pathway to di Rosa SF for the full exhibition tour. RSVP
All of you have who have attended the Ancient Wisdom exhibit, we’d love for you to send your images, reflections of your favorite San Francisco tree for our Acknowledge tree tribute project. Submit here.

After working so hard, Ken and I are so grateful for the reviews and articles by publications we respect. Artnet listed it as one of the 7 Must-See Museum Shows in San Francisco. We also loved the local articles in 7x7 magazine, East Bay Times, Nob Hill Gazette and Ken and I enjoyed discussing Ancient Wisdom on KALW’s “State of the Bay”; listen here (we come in around 43:09).
And I finally made it back to my studio in Sausalito with Rosie. It was so grounding looking at the water and just being still there.
Now on to friends’ projects to check out…
